Harish Rao Strongly Reacts to the Arrest of Padi Kaushik Reddy

Harish Rao, senior BRS MLA, has sharply reacted to the arrest of Huzurabad MLA and BRS leader Padi Kaushik Reddy. In a statement on social media platform X, Harish Rao condemned the arrest, alleging that it was carried out unlawfully. He questioned the government's motives, asking, “Is this how you treat a legislator from another party who raises questions?”
Harish Rao criticized the Congress government, remarking that Telangana, which remained peaceful during ten years of KCR’s administration, has now become a hub for vindictive politics under the 13-month rule of the Congress party.
“It is disgraceful that illegal cases are being filed against elected representatives for questioning the government, and party offices are being attacked when they dare to raise their voices,” Harish Rao stated.
He further alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has abandoned governance and the implementation of his promised six guarantees. “Instead, his sole focus appears to be harassing the opposition,” he added.
Harish Rao rhetorically questioned, “Is this the definition of Indira’s rule—filing cases for questioning, attacks for raising concerns, and arrests for asking questions?” He accused the government of undermining democracy, stating, “They boasted of restoring democracy as a seventh guarantee, but what they are doing now is destroying the existing democratic system and reminding us of emergency rule.”
Harish Rao declared that the BRS party will not be intimidated by suppression, coercion, or attacks. He asserted, “We will continue to question you at every step in the public domain and will relentlessly fight on behalf of the people.” He demanded the immediate release of MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, calling the arrest illegal and unjust.
