Dil Raju Apologizes to Telangana People, Clarifies Remarks at Movie Event

Noted film producer Dil Raju, who has backed the upcoming movie "Sankranthi Ki Vastaam" featuring Victory Venkatesh and directed by Anil Ravipudi, has issued an apology to the people of Telangana following certain remarks he made during the movie’s trailer launch event. The film, slated for release on January 14 as a festive offering for Sankranti, is already creating significant buzz. However, Dil Raju's comments during the launch event sparked controversy on social media, prompting him to respond and offer clarification.

Addressing the issue, Dil Raju stated, “As a native of Nizamabad district, I organized the event there. During the celebration, I made a comment regarding the traditional ‘dawat’ in our culture. However, some on social media have alleged that I insulted or disrespected the people of Telangana. I want to clarify that I hold immense respect for Telangana’s culture.”

Further emphasizing his connection to Telangana, Dil Raju said, “I deeply admire Telangana’s cultural heritage. My film ‘Balagam,’ which was set against the backdrop of Telangana’s traditions, was widely appreciated by the people of Telangana. It received praise from all political parties. Additionally, we shot the film ‘Fidaa’ in Banswada, which showcased Telangana’s culture to the world. Being a native of Telangana myself, how could I ever demean the state or its people?”

With this clarification, Dil Raju sought to put an end to the ongoing controversy and reaffirmed his respect for the cultural identity of Telangana.
