Telangana High Court Expresses Displeasure Over Special Shows for ‘Game Changer’

The Telangana High Court has expressed dissatisfaction regarding the permission granted for special shows of the film ‘Game Changer,’ starring Ram Charan and directed by Shankar. The film, which was released today, became the center of a legal debate after issues concerning increased ticket prices and special screenings were brought before the court.

During the hearing, the High Court raised significant questions about the legitimacy of allowing special shows after the government had previously canceled benefit shows. The court remarked, “If benefit shows have been canceled, how can special shows be allowed?”

The court further directed the Special Secretary of the Home Department to reconsider the permissions granted for shows scheduled beyond midnight and early morning hours. It emphasized that producing high-budget films and recovering costs through elevated ticket prices and additional screenings was inappropriate. The court also highlighted the importance of public safety and suggested that permissions for benefit and special shows should not be granted.

The next hearing on this matter has been scheduled for the 24th of this month.
