‘Game Changer’ Highlights: Here’s What Everyone Said!
‘Game Changer,’ a high-budget film directed by star filmmaker Shankar and featuring Ram Charan in the lead role, is set for a worldwide release on January 10 in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. The movie, produced by Dil Raju and Sirish, stars Kiara Advani opposite Ram Charan. On Thursday, the trailer of ‘Game Changer’ was launched at an event graced by acclaimed director S.S. Rajamouli as the chief guest.
S.S. Rajamouli, speaking at the event, said, “When people call this Shankar’s first Telugu movie, I wondered, ‘Really? Is that true?’ But to us Telugu people, Shankar isn’t just a Tamil director—he is one of us. Telugu audiences deeply respect Shankar, and it is with that respect that Dil Raju made this film with him. Young directors today might take pride in us, but we take pride in Shankar.
“The trailer is exhilarating, with every shot and scene delivering excitement. Ram Charan has come a long way from ‘Magadheera’ to ‘RRR.’ Back then, I called him a hero. Now, with scenes like him jumping out of a helicopter, clad in a lungi, wielding a sword—one can already imagine the whistles. Everyone must watch ‘Game Changer’ in theaters on January 10,” Rajamouli added.
Director Shankar elaborated, “Game Changer has all the elements—social commentary, mass appeal, and entertainment. The story revolves around a political leader and an IAS officer. Ram Charan has delivered an extraordinary performance, embodying his roles perfectly. Be it in songs, action, or screen presence, his acting is exceptional. Kiara Advani has also performed brilliantly alongside him, especially in the dance sequences.
“I am grateful to Dil Raju for introducing me to Telugu cinema. He supported every need of the project, along with Sirish. Thaman has lived up to my trust by creating fantastic music, even using innovative technology for some songs. The VFX work has come out spectacularly, and this film is indeed a ‘Game Changer’ for me,” Shankar said.
Ram Charan thanked Rajamouli for releasing the trailer and praised Shankar and Rajamouli for their pursuit of perfection. “Their dedication ensures their vision comes to life exactly as imagined. Every artist, including Srikanth, S.J. Suryah, Samuthirakani, Anjali, and Kiara, have performed wonderfully. Dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra and music by Thaman have elevated the movie. My thanks to Dil Raju and Sirish for producing such a magnificent film,” he added.
Producer Dil Raju highlighted the contributions of Shankar and Rajamouli to Indian cinema, stating, “Shankar brought Tamil cinema to a pan-India level, and Rajamouli elevated Telugu cinema to a global scale. Films like this are possible because of them. We’ve only revealed 50% so far; the real story will be unveiled on January 10.”
Thaman expressed gratitude for being part of the project, saying, “For three years, Dil Raju has safeguarded this film meticulously. I want to give him a heartfelt hug on January 10 after the film’s success. Working with Shankar, who has seen my journey from ‘Boys’ to ‘Game Changer,’ is an honor. His bond inspires my music.”
Sai Madhav Burra expressed confidence in the film’s success, stating, “Every scene is remarkable. Collaborating with Shankar and Ram Charan has been fulfilling. The trailer launch by Rajamouli added to the joy. This isn’t just Sankranti—it’s ‘Shankar-ratri.’”
Srikanth thanked Shankar for a memorable role, saying, “I drew inspiration from my father for this character. Ram Charan’s growth since ‘Govindudu Andarivadele’ is astounding.”
Anjali said, “Game Changer is a milestone in my career. It took time for me to come out of the character. I thank Shankar for giving me such a rare role. Working with Ram Charan was a pleasure as he makes co-artists comfortable.”
S.J. Suryah commented, “Shankar has crafted this film magnificently. Each scene brought immense joy. Ram Charan is humble despite his global fame. This Sankranti, the audience will thoroughly enjoy this movie.”
Samuthirakani remarked, “For the past five years, every movie I acted in during Sankranti has been a hit. My role in ‘Game Changer’ is another significant one. Ram Charan’s sincerity is evident, and this movie will be a massive success.”
