KTR Alleges Revanth Reddy Settled with Film Industry Over Allu Arjun Controversy

BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has once again addressed the controversy surrounding actor Allu Arjun, alleging that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is engaging with the film fraternity purely for publicity. Speaking at a media meeting at Telangana Bhavan, KTR accused Revanth Reddy of using Allu Arjun's arrest to divert attention from unfulfilled promises and pressing issues.

KTR criticized the Chief Minister, claiming, “Revanth Reddy engages in gimmicks daily for attention and diversion. He has settled matters with the film industry, which is why he remains silent now.”

During the meeting, KTR also raised concerns about compensation for families of students who died in Gurukuls, as well as for families of deceased auto drivers. He demanded the government allocate ₹25 lakh to each family and address the deaths of farmers and weavers, urging immediate action from the Chief Minister.

Allegations on ACB Case and ED Notice

Referring to the ACB case filed against him, KTR claimed, “Revanth Reddy knows there’s no strength in the ACB case against me.” He stated that the BRS cadre has newfound confidence and will not be intimidated by government cases.

On the e-car racing controversy, KTR maintained, “I have never changed my statements. I firmly stand by what I’ve said. As a minister, I personally instructed the payment of funds for the e-car race.” He questioned why the government didn’t approach agencies like the EC or RBI if payments were irregular and demanded an explanation for why no cases were filed against individuals who allegedly misappropriated funds.

KTR further revealed, “I have received a notice from the Enforcement Directorate (ED). I will present my case in court.” He criticized the government for showing excessive enthusiasm in targeting him, adding that he is challenging the FIR and confident the ED and ACB cases will not hold up in court.

KCR’s Strategic Silence

KTR defended BRS President K. Chandrashekar Rao’s (KCR) absence from the public eye, saying, “KCR knows when to step forward. After 24 years of hard work, he is currently taking some rest. By 2025, we will hold the BRS president’s election and establish the institutional committee.”

He also accused the Congress party of neglecting former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao, questioning why a resolution was not passed in the Assembly to build a memorial for Rao in Delhi.

Criticism of BJP and Congress

KTR criticized the BJP for allegedly shielding Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, claiming, “BJP MPs have become his protective cover.” He questioned the lack of investigations by the central government into scams like Amrut and Civil Supplies.

Expressing confidence in the BRS’s performance in upcoming local body elections, KTR stated, “We will showcase our strength in these elections.” He also alleged that Congress is misleading people by promising schemes like ‘Rythu Bharosa’ but will fail to deliver even token support during Sankranti. Furthermore, he accused the Congress government of lacking any intent to provide BC reservations.
