Sandhya Theatre Risks License Cancellation After Tragic Pushpa-2 Incident

Hyderabad police have issued a show-cause notice to the management of Sandhya Theatre at RTC Cross Roads concerning the recent stampede incident during the premiere of Pushpa-2. Citing negligence that resulted in the loss of a life, the police questioned why the theatre's license should not be canceled. The management has been instructed to provide an explanation within ten days.

The stampede occurred on the night of December 4 during the screening of Pushpa-2. In the incident, a woman named Revathi lost her life, while her son remains hospitalized and is undergoing treatment. Following the tragedy, Chikkadpally police registered a case and initiated an investigation.
