Pushpa-2's ₹1,067 Crore Global Earnings Amid Allu Arjun's Arrest
Allu Arjun, currently basking in the success of Pushpa-2: The Rule, was arrested by Chikkadapalli police on Friday in connection with a stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre. Amid dramatic developments, he spent Friday night at Chanchalguda Jail. Coincidentally, the same day marked the film’s ninth day in theaters, during which it collected ₹36.25 crore across India. The Hindi version continued its strong performance.
According to film tracking platform Shocknilk, Pushpa-2 earned ₹27 crore from its Hindi version, ₹7.5 crore from Telugu, ₹1.35 crore from Tamil, and ₹0.2 crore from Kannada and Malayalam combined on Friday. This brought the film’s domestic total to ₹762.1 crore and its worldwide gross to ₹1,067 crore.
Cinema trade analysts predict that Pushpa-2 is closing in on the box office collections of RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. They anticipate higher earnings over the weekend due to increased footfall on Saturday and Sunday.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa-2: The Rule features Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, along with several prominent actors. It has become the fastest Indian film to cross the ₹1,000-crore milestone in box office history.
