Allu Arjun Released from Chanchalguda Jail
Tollywood actor Allu Arjun, arrested in connection with a stampede case at Sandhya Theatre, has been released from Chanchalguda Jail. The actor was taken into custody yesterday afternoon and remanded to 14 days of judicial custody by the Nampally Court. He was subsequently sent to Chanchalguda Jail. However, the High Court later granted him interim bail for four weeks, subject to a ₹50,000 surety bond.
Due to a delay in the jail authorities receiving the court order copy, Allu Arjun had to remain in custody overnight. Once the necessary documents were received, his legal team promptly submitted the pre-prepared surety bonds. After completing all the formalities, the actor was released from jail.
The case stems from an incident during the premieres of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre, located at RTC Cross Roads in Hyderabad. During the event, a stampede occurred, resulting in the tragic death of a woman named Revathi and serious injuries to her son. The boy is still undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The police filed multiple charges against Allu Arjun in connection with the incident and subsequently arrested him at his residence yesterday.
