Former Minister Perni Nani’s Wife Jayasudha Booked in Ration Rice Scam
Machilipatnam police have registered a case against Jayasudha, wife of YSRCP senior leader and former minister Perni Nani, following a complaint by Civil Supplies Department officer Kotireddy. The case pertains to alleged irregularities in the storage of ration rice.
During the previous administration, Perni Nani reportedly built a warehouse in his wife Jayasudha’s name, later renting it out to the Civil Supplies Department. However, a recent inspection revealed discrepancies in the stored Public Distribution System (PDS) rice. Officials found that 185 tons of rice were missing from the warehouse.
In response to the findings, Perni Nani reportedly attributed the issue to a malfunctioning weighbridge. Despite this explanation, officer Kotireddy filed a formal complaint, prompting the police to register a case against Jayasudha.
