Media Attack Row: Mohan Babu Moves High Court
Prominent actor Manchu Mohan Babu has approached the High Court after receiving police notices related to an alleged attack on media representatives. Following the incident near the Manchu family farmhouse in Jalpally, a video of the attack went viral on social media, prompting journalists' associations to lodge complaints with the police.
The Pahadi Shareef police registered a case under Section BNS 118. Subsequently, Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu issued notices to Mohan Babu on Tuesday, summoning him for an inquiry at the Rachakonda Commissionerate at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
In response, Mohan Babu filed a lunch motion petition in the High Court, challenging the police notices. Through his legal representatives Nagesh Reddy and Murali Manohar, he requested the court to provide him security, citing a threat to his life. He also urged the court to direct the police to station a security picket near his residence, alleging that the authorities failed to act despite his earlier pleas for protection.
