Nagababu Confirmed as Minister in Chandrababu Naidu’s Cabinet
Nagendra Babu, popularly known as Nagababu and the General Secretary of the Jana Sena Party, is set to join the Andhra Pradesh state cabinet. Putting an end to speculations about him being offered a Rajya Sabha seat, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced the decision to induct Nagababu as a minister in his cabinet.
Andhra Pradesh has 175 assembly constituencies, with provisions for a maximum of 25 cabinet ministers. Currently, the Chandrababu Naidu-led cabinet includes 24 ministers. The Jana Sena Party, which holds a coalition agreement, is entitled to four ministerial positions. At present, three members from Jana Sena—Pawan Kalyan, Nadendla Manohar, and Kandula Durgesh—are serving as ministers. Nagababu’s appointment will fill the fourth ministerial slot allocated to Jana Sena in the state cabinet.
