SC Serves Notice to YS Bhaskar Reddy in Vivekananda Reddy Murder Case

The Supreme Court has issued a notice to YS Bhaskar Reddy, father of Kadapa YSRCP MP Avinash Reddy, in connection with the murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy. Earlier, the Telangana High Court granted Bhaskar Reddy bail. However, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had initially challenged the High Court’s decision in the Supreme Court. Subsequently, YS Vivekananda Reddy's daughter, Sunitha, also filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking the cancellation of Bhaskar Reddy's bail.

Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna led a bench that reviewed Sunitha's petition today. The court issued notices to the respondents, including Bhaskar Reddy and the CBI. It also combined the CBI’s earlier petition for the cancellation of Bhaskar Reddy’s bail with Sunitha’s petition. The next hearing for the case has been scheduled for the first week of March.
