Why Naga Chaitanya Couldn’t Take Up "Janaka Aithe Ganaka"

The film Janaka Aithe Ganaka is based on the story of why a middle-class man might hesitate to become a father and what consequences he faces if he does. This movie, which tells the story of a man who feels he lacks the ability to raise a child, is filled with emotions. Suhas and Sangeerthana play the lead roles in this emotional journey. Produced by Harshith Reddy and Hanshitha Reddy under the Dil Raju Productions banner and presented by Sirish, the film marks the directorial debut of Sandeep Reddy Bandla. The movie is scheduled for release on October 12.

In a recent press meet, director Sandeep Reddy shared his thoughts on the movie. He revealed that he initially wanted to make the film with actor Naga Chaitanya and had even begun working with him. However, due to Naga Chaitanya getting busy with Love Story, directed by Sekhar Kammula, he was unable to continue with Janaka Aithe Ganaka. At that point, producer Raju suggested Suhas for the role, and the project moved forward. Previews of the film were recently held in a few places, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. According to the director, the story is universal, and everyone can relate to it.

Sandeep Reddy further explained, “I was genuinely surprised when Dil Raju gave the green light for this story. I didn’t expect him to approve such an unconventional concept, especially in Telugu cinema. This type of movie hasn’t been made in Telugu before. I believe that Telugu audiences will definitely appreciate a new concept like this. As our mentor, director Prashanth Neel, says, Telugu audiences are like gods—if the movie is good, they will make it a success.

Some people think there’s adult content in this movie, but that’s not true. We’ve tackled topics that every family discusses. I’ve previously worked with Prashanth Neel on larger projects, where I wrote about a variety of emotions. But I enjoy making films rooted in raw emotions, and that’s why I chose this story.”

He also shared a personal anecdote about Suhas, saying, “While we were shooting this movie, Suhas became a father, which made his performance deeply emotional. In some scenes, his eyes filled with tears without the need for glycerin. I strongly believe that this film will appeal to audiences across all age groups and backgrounds."
