Chandrababu writes letter to AP CS over illegal granite mining in Kuppam

Hyderabad, April 29: Leader of the Opposition and TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu wrote a letter to Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary (CS) Dr. Sameer Sharma to take speedy action against illegal granite mining in Kuppam Assembly constituency. He also attached the order issued by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) along with his letter as evidence to his allegation.
 
The TDP chief said that the NGT had confirmed that illegal mining has been going on in survey numbers 104 and 203 at Muddanapalle village in Santhipuram mandal in Chittoor district. He brought to the notice of the CS that the NGT had directed the AP government to submit the names and their details, who were involved in illegal mining.
 
Chandrababu further said that the NGT had instructed the CS and officials concerned to inspect the site personally and compile a report in a scientific manner, and forward the same to the tribunal.
