YSRCP MLA Nagarjuna meets miffed Balineni for not getting second term as minister
YSRCP Markapur MLA K. Nagarjuna Reddy met former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, who was annoyed for not giving him a chance in the Cabinet 2.0, on Monday. Speculations were rife that he may tender resignation to the MLA post.
Speaking to the media, Nagarjuna said that it is common for political leaders to aspire for posts. “Every MLA may not get a berth in the Cabinet as Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy took a stand for giving priority to BCs, SCs, STs and minorities,” he mentioned. The MLA further stated that he and Balineni are childhood friends and entered into politics as youth Congress leaders.
Former minister and YSRCP MLA K. Parthasarathy was reportedly unhappy for not including him in newly formed Cabinet. His followers are staging protests in the constituency, demanding minister post to their leader. YSRCP Rajya Sabha member Mopidevi Venkataramana visited the residence of Parthasarathy and consoled him.
