Row over a film released on YouTube, Sunita husband's company gives clarification
Ram Veerapaneni, the husband of famous movie singer Sunita, was landed in a controversy in connection with a movie in which the Gowda women were allegedly portrayed in a poor light. He runs a digital media company Mango. The company buys digital rights of Telugu movies and releases them through its YouTube channel.
The Ram company said in a statement that on January 24, some people from the Gowda community came and objected to a movie and demanded that the content be removed from YouTube. However, the film has already been released in theaters with a censor certificate ... yet it was removed from YouTube on the day they said it because they had no intention of degrading women. "We apologise if this video hurts anyone's feelings by mistake," the company said in its statement.
