MS Dhoni Debunks Longstanding Myths About His Diet

Indian cricket legend and Chennai Super Kings star Mahendra Singh Dhoni has finally addressed several outrageous rumours that have circulated for years about his diet and physical strength. With humour and clarity, Dhoni debunked widespread claims—most notably, that he drinks five litres of milk every day and that he uses a washing machine to prepare large quantities of buttermilk (lassi).
Dhoni rose to prominence in the cricketing world with his remarkable fitness and powerful batting ability, which sparked immense curiosity about his dietary habits. Over time, certain speculations took root and spread widely across the country. One persistent rumour suggested that Dhoni drank five litres of milk daily, with many attributing his long sixes to this supposed habit. Another bizarre tale alleged that he used a washing machine to make litres of lassi.
At a recent promotional event held in Chennai, Dhoni was asked by members of the media about these longstanding myths. Laughing in response, Dhoni asked, “Do I drink five litres of milk a day?” He then clarified, “Perhaps I used to drink about one litre of milk a day in total, but consuming five litres a day is extremely difficult for anyone.”
When questioned about the rumour involving the washing machine and lassi, Dhoni laughed even more and offered a straightforward rebuttal: “The truth is, I don’t drink lassi at all.”
With these remarks, Mahendra Singh Dhoni put to rest some of the most exaggerated and amusing stories about his personal habits, directly addressing the public curiosity that has surrounded him for years.
