Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Son Granted Anticipatory Bail in Posani Remarks Case

The High Court has granted anticipatory bail to YSR Congress Party leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and his son Bhargava Reddy in connection with a case involving controversial remarks made by actor Posani Krishna Murali. According to Posani Krishna Murali’s confessional statement, he used vulgar language to insult Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, their family members, and the Kamma community. He claimed that he acted based on a script and encouragement allegedly provided by Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Bhargava Reddy.

In light of this confession, the Obulavaripalle police were reportedly preparing to arrest Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and his son. Anticipating possible legal action, both approached the High Court seeking anticipatory bail.

The bail petition was heard yesterday, and the High Court granted anticipatory bail to both individuals. Justice K. Srinivas Reddy directed that each must submit two sureties of ₹10,000. The court also instructed them to cooperate with the investigation.
