Chandrababu Orders Probe into Pastor Praveen Kumar’s Death

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has responded to allegations surrounding the death of Pastor Praveen Kumar near Rajahmundry. He instructed officials to conduct a thorough investigation covering all possible angles related to the incident. State Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha contacted East Godavari District Superintendent of Police, Narasimha Kishore, over the phone to inquire about the situation. She also directed officials to examine CCTV footage from the area where the incident occurred.

Rajanagaram Circle Inspector Veeraiah Goud stated that a road accident had taken place near Komthuru, on the outskirts of Rajahmundry, resulting in the death of Pastor Praveen Kumar. He said that Praveen Kumar had set out from Hyderabad on a Bullet motorcycle and was involved in the accident around midnight. According to Veeraiah Goud, the victim accidentally slipped off the road, and the motorcycle fell on him, causing severe injuries which led to his death. He further noted that no one noticed the incident until 9 a.m. the following morning.

Meanwhile, Christian groups have launched protests in Rajahmundry, expressing doubts about the circumstances of Pastor Praveen Kumar’s death. In view of these concerns, Nara Chandrababu Naidu has ordered an investigation.
