BRS MLAs File Privilege Violation Notice Against Komatireddy

Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has been served a privilege violation notice by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLAs. They met Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar today and submitted a formal petition, alleging that Komatireddy Venkat Reddy was making false statements in the Assembly. The BRS MLAs urged the Speaker to take immediate action against the minister, claiming that his remarks were misleading the Assembly.
According to the petition, the BRS MLAs accused Komatireddy of providing misleading answers during the Legislative Assembly’s Question Hour related to the Roads and Buildings Department. They contended that his statements were aimed at confusing the Assembly.
The BRS legislators further claimed that Komatireddy’s responses regarding the non-receipt of Central Road Fund (CRF) funds during BRS governance, the lack of fund allocation for roads in the Nalgonda constituency, and the failure to open an escrow account for the Uppal Elevated Corridor were entirely false. They also submitted evidence to the Speaker to support their claims.
The BRS MLAs requested the Speaker to immediately approve their privilege violation notice against Komatireddy.
