Jnanpith Award Conferred to Hindi Writer Vinod Kumar Shukla

Renowned Hindi writer Vinod Kumar Shukla has been selected for the Jnanpith Award for the year 2024. The Jnanpith Committee officially announced this on Saturday. Shukla has become the first author from the state of Chhattisgarh to receive this prestigious literary award.
The award is being presented to recognize his significant contributions to Indian literature. The Jnanpith Award is considered the highest literary honor in India. Shukla is the 12th Hindi writer to be recognized with this award. As part of the honor, he will receive a cash prize of ₹11 lakh along with a bronze statue of Saraswati.
The award acknowledges his exceptional work in Hindi literature and his unique writing style. Previously, he was also awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1999.
