Prakash Raj Responds to Betting App Controversy

Actor Prakash Raj has responded to reports claiming that a case was filed against him concerning betting apps. He addressed the issue through a video posted on social media, stating that he is currently occupied with a film shoot.

Prakash Raj explained that he had seen reports circulating on social media and in the mainstream media alleging his involvement in a betting app advertisement, which prompted him to release the video in response. He clarified that he has not received any summons from the police related to betting apps.

The actor further elaborated that in 2016, he had promoted a gaming app but withdrew from the contract after learning a few months later that it was illegal. Since then, he asserted that he has not acted in any advertisements related to gambling.

Prakash Raj also mentioned that the gaming company he previously worked with was acquired by another entity in 2021. Upon noticing that the new owners were promoting his old advertisements, he sent legal notices informing them that he had no ongoing contract with them. "This is the truth," he stated, emphasizing that he felt it was his responsibility to clarify the matter through the video.

He also urged the youth to be cautious about betting apps and to avoid ruining their futures by getting involved with them.
