Telangana Women’s Commission Angered by Song from Balakrishna-Urvashi Rautela Film

The Telangana State Women’s Commission has expressed strong displeasure over objectionable lyrics and inappropriate dance movements in recent Telugu film songs. The latest controversy involves the song “Dabidi Dibidi” from the movie “Dhaku Maharaju,” starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Urvashi Rautela. Chairperson of the Women’s Commission, Narella Sharada, has voiced her anger over the content, stating that some dance steps in the song have crossed acceptable limits.

Narella Sharada highlighted that there have been increasing complaints about songs and dance sequences in Telugu films that demean women. She warned that strict action would be taken if such content continues to be promoted. The Commission expressed concern that obscene songs and lyrics could negatively influence young audiences, emphasizing that portraying women purely from a glamour perspective is inappropriate.

Additionally, it is noted that songs from other recent films such as “Pushpa 2,” “Mr. Bachchan,” and Nithiin’s “Robin Hood” have also faced similar criticism.
