Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma’s Divorce Verdict Expected Tomorrow

The Bombay High Court has directed the family court to deliver its verdict on the divorce petition of Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, Dhanashree Verma, by tomorrow. The directive comes after the family court initially rejected a petition seeking to waive the mandatory cooling-off period, a decision that the High Court has now overturned.
Chahal and Dhanashree, who got married in 2020, have reportedly been living separately for some time. According to sources, Chahal has agreed to pay ₹4.75 crore as alimony to Dhanashree.
With Chahal set to participate in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season, the High Court emphasized the need for a swift resolution. The leg-spinner, who previously played for Rajasthan Royals, was acquired by Punjab Kings for ₹18 crore in the mega auction held in November last year.
