WhatsApp E-Governance Expands: 300 Citizen Services by March-End, Says Nara Lokesh

Minister Nara Lokesh discussed the WhatsApp e-governance system introduced by the coalition government after coming to power. He stated that through this system, 200 types of citizen services are currently being provided, making the issuance of certificates significantly easier. He further announced that the goal is to expand the services to 300 by the end of March.

Nara Lokesh highlighted that Chandrababu Naidu had previously transformed public services into an e-service model, bringing governance closer to the people. Reflecting on his Yuvagalam Padayatra conducted last year, Lokesh stated that it helped him gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by the public across the state.

He remarked that in the past, citizens had to wait helplessly to access government services. To eliminate such difficulties and ensure ease of access, the government decided to introduce WhatsApp e-governance as a solution, he explained.
