Bhūmana Alleges Hindu Dharma Under Attack Under Coalition Rule

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) spokesperson and former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman Bhumana Karunakara Reddy has demanded an investigation into the forces behind the demolition at the Kasinayana  temple. Addressing the media in Tirupati, he expressed concern that the lack of coordination between Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Minister Nara Lokesh is leading to problems in key spiritual centers across the state.

Strongly condemning the demolition, Bhumana asserted, "Destroying the Kasinayana  temple is equivalent to attacking Hindu Dharma with bulldozers." He questioned why Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has remained silent on this matter. He also pointed out that while the Forest Department operates under Pawan Kalyan’s leadership, its officials carried out the demolition at the temple site. Bhumana questioned, "Why has the voice of Pavanananda Swami, who speaks about protecting Sanātana Dharma, fallen silent now?" He further asked why Pawan Kalyan, who had previously responded to the Tirupati stampede incident, has not reacted to the Kasinayana temple issue.

Bhumana also highlighted a contradiction in the state government’s stance, stating that Minister Nara Lokesh apologizing and promising to rebuild the temple exposes internal conflicts. He remarked that the disagreements between Pawan Kalyan and Lokesh are now an open secret on social media. He alleged that those responsible for previous temple demolitions are the same forces now targeting the Kasinayana  temple.

Expressing further apprehension, Bhumana pointed out that if the Endowments Minister claims the temple is in a "Tiger Zone," there is a risk that the authorities might also demolish the Srisailam temple in the future. He recalled that when Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was Chief Minister, the government had written to the central authorities seeking an exemption for the temple from forest conservation laws. Bhumana asked whether the demolition at Kasinayana temple was carried out without Pawan Kalyan’s approval and questioned why the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has remained silent on the matter.

He alleged that under the coalition government, Hindu Dharma is facing a crisis, adding that the ruling parties are more interested in blaming the previous YSRCP administration rather than addressing the current issues.
