KCR Attended Assembly Twice but Collected ₹57 Lakh Salary: Revanth Reddy

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy alleged that Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) attended the state assembly only twice since the Congress came to power, yet received a salary and allowances amounting to ₹57,84,124. He stated that KCR had been drawing these payments for approximately 15 months, from December 2023 to February 2025.
Revanth Reddy emphasized that the Supreme Court has classified legislators as government employees and criticized KCR for taking a substantial salary while making only two appearances in the assembly. He further claimed that KCR neither visited constituencies nor undertook any state-level tours. Additionally, he alleged that KCR had not raised any public issues in the legislative forums.
Mocking the former chief minister, Revanth Reddy remarked that during the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work was an option, but in the current scenario, even that is not applicable. He sarcastically questioned, “Is there something like ‘work from home’ or ‘work from a farmhouse’ in politics?”
