AP High Court Orders No Immediate Action Against Posani

Prominent actor and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Posani Krishna Murali has received partial relief from the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The court on Thursday heard a quash petition filed by Posani, seeking the dismissal of five cases registered against him.
It is known that cases were filed against Posani by Adoni police for making controversial remarks against Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh, Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan, and their families.
The High Court directed the police not to take any immediate action regarding the cases registered against Posani in Visakhapatnam and Chittoor districts. The next hearing has been scheduled for Monday. However, the court dismissed Posani’s petition in the case filed by Adoni police, as a Prisoner Transit (PT) warrant had already been executed against him.
The hearings for the cases registered at Pathapatnam and Anantapur police stations have been postponed until the afternoon session.
Posani Krishna Murali is facing over 17 cases across various police stations in Andhra Pradesh. He was arrested by police in connection with a case registered at the Obulavaripalle police station in the Annamaiah district on February 26. Following his arrest, he was remanded by the Railway Kodur magistrate and subsequently transferred to Rajampet sub-jail.
Later, Narasaraopet police executed a PT warrant and took Posani into their custody from Rajampet sub-jail. On Monday evening, he was presented before the Narasaraopet court, which remanded him until March 13. Currently, Posani Krishna Murali is lodged in Kurnool district jail.
