Andhra Pradesh Implements New Traffic Rules with Strict Fines
The new Motor Vehicle Act comes into force in Andhra Pradesh from today, introducing stringent traffic regulations. Authorities have warned that violators will face hefty fines, with enforcement being strengthened through CCTV surveillance.

As per the new traffic rules, the penalties for violations are as follows:

* Riding a bike without a helmet: ₹1,000 fine
* Driving a car without a seat belt: ₹1,000 fine
* Caught for drunken driving: ₹10,000 fine and possible license cancellation
* Jumping a signal or driving in the wrong direction: ₹1,000 fine
* Driving without a valid license: ₹5,000 fine, with the possibility of vehicle seizure
* Driving without valid insurance: ₹2,000 fine for the first offense, ₹4,000 for the second offense
* Using a mobile phone while driving: ₹1,500 fine for the first offense, ₹10,000 for the second offense
* Triple riding on a two-wheeler: ₹1,000 fine
* Engaging in vehicle racing: ₹5,000 fine for the first offense, ₹10,000 for the second offense
* Auto drivers without uniform: ₹150 fine for the first offense, ₹300 for the second offense

Officials have stated that traffic rule violations will be monitored through CCTV cameras, and fines will be imposed accordingly. Authorities have urged vehicle users to adhere to the new regulations to ensure road safety.
