Andhra Pradesh to Procure ₹9.2 Crore Worth Bulletproof Vehicles for VIPs

The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a key decision to enhance security for VIPs. The state’s Home Department has issued orders for the procurement of 10 new bulletproof vehicles at a cost of ₹9.2 crore. These vehicles are intended for the protection of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and other high-profile individuals.

As per the orders, 10 Toyota Fortuner vehicles will be purchased and modified to be bulletproof. The decision comes as VIPs frequently travel across the state, necessitating enhanced security measures. Government officials also make regular visits to various regions, prompting the administration to prioritize their safety with these new vehicles.

The newly procured bulletproof vehicles will supplement the existing security fleet, ensuring better protection for dignitaries.
