P-4 Model to be Implemented in Andhra Pradesh from Ugadi: CS K. Vijay Anand
During the meeting, K. Vijay Anand stated that the primary objective of the P-4 model is poverty eradication. He emphasized that the initiative aims to encourage the economically well-off top 10% of society to support the bottom 20% who are in extreme poverty.
To ensure comprehensive planning, public suggestions and feedback will be collected, and a dedicated online portal is being developed for this purpose. The Chief Secretary stated that the implementation of the P-4 model will be guided by these inputs. He also mentioned that the government will invite industrialists, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and others willing to support the initiative to the P-4 launch event on Ugadi. The aim is to bring all stakeholders under one platform to facilitate its effective execution.
As part of the Swarnandhra Vision-2047, the state aims to achieve an annual growth rate of 15%. To achieve this, vision plans must be prepared at the habitation, village, mandal, constituency, and district levels. K. Vijay Anand directed district collectors to appoint a nodal officer for each constituency, who will be assisted by a six-member team—five members from village and ward secretariats and one professional from the planning department.
A special questionnaire will be used to collect necessary data, with a consultancy survey scheduled to take place from February 7 to February 22.
At the meeting, Piyush Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Planning and Finance Departments, gave a PowerPoint presentation detailing the implementation of the P-4 model and its integration into the Swarnandhra Vision-2047 framework. Dr. N. Yuvaraj, Secretary of Industries and Commerce, also presented an overview of the steps required for conducting an MSME survey.
