Financial Constraints in AP: Ambati Rambabu's Counter to Chandrababu

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) senior leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu over his recent announcement regarding the implementation of welfare schemes in Andhra Pradesh. Using the platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Rambabu commented, “No wealth creation, not even sampenga flowers. Chandrababu and Lokesh have raised their hands and pushed everything onto Jagan. Promises have been left in the air. Govinda, Govinda!”

Ambati Rambabu also reiterated his earlier criticism, accusing Chandrababu Naidu of avoiding the implementation of welfare schemes under the pretext of financial constraints.

Chandrababu Naidu had recently made significant remarks about Andhra Pradesh’s financial situation, stating that the state’s economy had deteriorated to a level worse than Bihar’s. Addressing the issue, Chandrababu Naidu said that funds provided by the central government for major projects like Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Amaravati, and Polavaram cannot be diverted.

Chandrababu Naidu emphasized that welfare schemes would not face any delays if sufficient funds were available. He claimed that his statements were aimed at ensuring the public was aware of the state’s economic realities. Furthermore, he assured that once the financial situation improves, schemes like ‘Talli Ki Vandanam’ (₹15,000 for each student) and ‘Annadata Sukhibhava’ (₹20,000 for farmers) would be implemented without hesitation.
