Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has issued an apology to Saif Ali Khan following a backlash over her comments during a recent interview. While expressing her wishes for Saif's speedy recovery after a reported attack, her statements about her personal possessions, including a diamond ring and Rolex watch, drew widespread criticism. Reacting to the controversy, Urvashi shared an apology on Instagram, expressing regret for her behavior during the discussion.

In her apology, Urvashi admitted she was unaware of the details surrounding the attack on Saif when she made her remarks. She explained that she had been celebrating the success of her film Dakoo Maharaj and spoke about the gifts she had received as part of her excitement. Acknowledging her insensitivity, she said she felt ashamed and asked for forgiveness, emphasizing that she was deeply affected upon learning the severity of the incident. Urvashi praised Saif for his courage during the ordeal, adding that her respect for him had grown even further.

The controversy arose after Urvashi mentioned, during an interview, that she had received a diamond ring from her mother and a Rolex watch from her father as gifts to celebrate the success of Dakoo Maharaj, which she stated had grossed ₹150 crores at the box office. While discussing the gifts, she made an offhand comment about the risks of wearing them in public, referencing Saif’s attack. This linking of Saif's ordeal with her possessions was widely criticized as insensitive. Following the backlash, she posted a video on Instagram to clarify her stance and express her remorse.
