Upgrade Your Phone: SBI’s Latest Guidelines for YONO App Users

The State Bank of India (SBI), one of the country’s largest public sector banks, has made a significant announcement regarding the use of its YONO app. With a focus on enhancing security amid rising cyber threats, SBI has issued crucial guidelines for customers using older smartphones.

The bank stated that YONO services would soon be discontinued on smartphones running Android 11 or earlier versions of the operating system. Customers are being urged to upgrade to newer mobile devices to ensure uninterrupted access to the app. SBI has communicated this change to users via messages, providing a deadline of February 28 to upgrade their devices to Android 12 or later versions.

Until this date, customers using smartphones with Android 11 or earlier will still be able to access YONO services. However, from March 1, YONO services will no longer function on these outdated devices. SBI has emphasized the need for customers to act promptly to avoid disruptions.
