Laurene Powell Jobs Faces Mild Health Issue During Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj

The Maha Kumbh Mela commenced on Monday in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, with an overwhelming turnout of 1.50 crore devotees taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam on the opening day. The globally renowned festival, which attracts devotees from across the world, witnessed participation from Laurene Powell Jobs, the wife of late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. She attended the event on Sunday and took part in various religious ceremonies.

During her visit, Laurene Powell Jobs reportedly experienced mild health discomfort. Kailasananda Giri Maharaj, a senior member of the Niranjani Akhada, stated that her condition might have been caused by the unfamiliar environment. He confirmed that she is currently undergoing treatment at a special camp arranged by the Akhada and assured that she is expected to recover soon. Once she regains her health, she intends to perform the ritual dip at the Triveni Sangam.

Kailasananda Giri Maharaj also revealed that this is Laurene Powell Jobs’ second visit to India. She has previously visited their ashram for meditation purposes. Additionally, he mentioned that Laurene adopted the spiritual name "Kamala" during her earlier visit.

The ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela, one of the world's largest religious congregations, is expected to draw approximately 40 crore devotees over 45 days. The festival will continue until February 26, with participants arriving from all corners of India and various parts of the world.
