"Officials' Fault, Our Blame," Says Pawan Kalyan on Tirupati Tragedy

Pawan Kalyan expressed deep sorrow over the tragic stampede at Bairagi Pateda and Vishnu Nivasam in Tirupati, where six devotees lost their lives during the distribution of Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan tokens. The Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister angrily stated that despite officials' mistakes, they were facing the criticism. He pointed out that mistakes made by individuals were being blamed on the government.

Pawan Kalyan held the TTD EO, the additional EO, and the police present at the scene accountable for the incident. "Despite the presence of TTD staff and police at the location, it is heartbreaking that six devotees lost their lives," he said. He urged TTD to focus on ordinary devotees instead of VIPs. He also suggested that TTD members visit the families of the deceased and offer apologies.

Pawan Kalyan emphasized that a mistake had undoubtedly occurred in Tirupati, and hence, the state government apologizes to the families of the deceased, the injured, devotees of Lord Venkateswara, and all those who believe in Sanatana Dharma.

During his visit to Tirupati, Pawan Kalyan inspected the Padmavathi Park where the stampede took place and later visited the injured at the SVIMS Hospital. He also addressed the media after the visit.

The actor-turned-politician raised suspicions regarding the incident, questioning whether someone in the police force had deliberately caused the situation. He added that he would brief the Chief Minister and the State DGP about the police's negligence.

Pawan Kalyan criticized the lack of proper crowd control measures despite the large number of devotees and pointed out that there was no proper plan for conducting rescue operations during incidents like stampedes.
