Formula E Probe: KTR Denounces Case, Says It’s Politically Motivated

BRS senior leader and the former Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) appeared before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Formula E car racing event. The inquiry concluded a short while ago, with ACB officials reportedly questioning KTR for nearly six and a half hours. The investigation was overseen by ACB Joint Director Rithiraj, while ACB DSP Majid Khan conducted the questioning.

Speaking to the media after emerging from the ACB office, KTR stated that he had answered all the questions posed by the officials and extended his full cooperation throughout the process.

“I told the officials that this is a baseless and politically motivated case,” KTR remarked. He further disclosed that he had questioned the necessity of investigating what he described as a frivolous case.

KTR clarified that no new questions were raised during the inquiry. “I answered all their questions to the best of my knowledge. Whenever they summon me again, I am ready to appear before them, no matter how many times it happens,” he affirmed.

The case pertains to allegations of fund misappropriation in the organization of the Formula E race event. Apart from the ACB, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also investigating the matter.
