Formula E Car Race Case: KTR Files Petition in Supreme Court
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has approached the Supreme Court after the Telangana High Court dismissed his quash petition related to the Formula E car race case. The petition was filed in the Supreme Court registry by KTR's legal representative, advocate Mohit Rao, on Monday evening.
Reports emerged earlier that KTR would move the Supreme Court following the High Court’s decision. Anticipating this, the Telangana government had already filed a caveat in the apex court, requesting that no ex-parte orders be passed and that its arguments be heard in case KTR filed a petition.
Following the High Court's ruling, KTR held a legal strategy meeting with his team at his residence in Nandinagar, Hyderabad. During the discussion, possible legal actions and next steps were deliberated. Subsequently, the petition was formally submitted to the Supreme Court at around 4:40 PM.
According to sources, the petition is expected to be taken up for hearing on January 8.
