Jayam Ravi Cast as Villain in Sivakarthikeyan’s Upcoming Film

National Award-winning director Sudha Kongara is helming a new film in which Sivakarthikeyan plays the lead role. Notably, actor Jayam Ravi has been roped in to portray the antagonist in this period drama.

Speaking about Jayam Ravi's involvement, Sivakarthikeyan expressed his excitement, saying, "I was extremely happy when Jayam Ravi sir agreed to play the villain."

In a video interview with a prominent media outlet, Sivakarthikeyan shared details about the film’s progress. "We have already started shooting, and a promo shoot was completed two days ago. The main production is ongoing. It’s a grand-scale period drama, and the scale is only getting bigger," he said.

He also revealed more about the cast and crew. "The film features Srileela and Atharvaa in key roles, with music composed by G.V. Prakash and cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran."

On working with Jayam Ravi, Sivakarthikeyan stated, "The most exciting aspect is that Jayam Ravi sir is playing a powerful villain in this film. When he confirmed his participation, I felt truly delighted. I have been watching his films since my college days. He entered the industry during that time, and I enjoyed his movies immensely. Now, acting alongside him and participating in fight sequences with him is a thrilling experience for me."

Speaking about director Sudha Kongara’s work ethic, Sivakarthikeyan remarked, "Sudha ma’am is highly meticulous in her planning. She’s always energetic, which keeps the entire team motivated."

Sivakarthikeyan further mentioned that he is eagerly waiting to resume filming, adding, "We are shooting in several locations. This project is a challenging one for our team."

On his other projects, Sivakarthikeyan said, "The film I’m working on with A.R. Murugadoss is 90% complete. We will wrap up the remaining 10% once Murugadoss sir returns after finishing his film with Salman Khan."
