Ambulance Hits Devotees on Pilgrimage to Tirumala; Two Dead

Two women devotees tragically lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries when an ambulance lost control and ran into them near Narasingapuram in Chandragiri Mandal, Tirupati district. The incident occurred while the devotees were walking to Tirumala for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara.

According to the police, the ambulance involved in the accident was a 108 emergency vehicle transporting a patient from Madanapalle to Tirupati. It collided with a group of devotees walking from Punganur to Tirumala. The victims have been identified as Pedda Reddamma (40) and Lakshmamma (45), both residents of Chempalapalli village in Ramasamudram Mandal, Annamayya district.

The injured devotees were immediately rushed to the Ruia Hospital in Tirupati, where they are receiving medical treatment. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the accident.
