Drama at ACB Office as KTR Walks Out Without Inquiry

High drama unfolded at the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) office today when BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) arrived for questioning in connection with the Formula E-Race case. Accompanied by his legal team, KTR reached the office intending to proceed with the inquiry, but tensions arose when the police informed him that only he would be allowed inside, while his legal team would be denied entry.

Expressing distrust towards the police, KTR insisted on having his lawyers present during the inquiry. Despite his repeated demands, the police stood firm, stating that there were no court orders permitting the presence of a legal team during the questioning. KTR responded by asking the police to show the rule that prohibited the entry of lawyers. This led to a verbal argument between KTR’s team and the police.

After nearly 40 minutes of back-and-forth, KTR decided to leave without entering the ACB office. Addressing the media outside, he stated that he had submitted his written statement to the ASP. He further remarked that while the statement was supposed to be given inside the ACB office, he had to hand it over on the road instead. In a satirical remark aimed at the situation, he said, “The police are crafting better stories than film director Rajamouli.”

Following the incident, KTR headed directly to Telangana Bhavan, the BRS party headquarters. Reports suggest that he may soon address the media regarding the matter. Meanwhile, speculation is rife about whether KTR’s departure without participating in the inquiry would be considered non-compliance by the police.
