Chandrababu, Lokesh Are Responsible Leaders, Would Not Indulge in Such Acts: Minister Satya Kumar

The Andhra Pradesh government has launched a mid-day meal scheme for intermediate students, starting today. The initiative, named “Dokka Seethamma Mid-Day Meal Scheme,” was inaugurated at the Payakapuram Junior College in Vijayawada. The event witnessed the participation of State Education Minister Nara Lokesh, Health and Medical Minister Y. Satya Kumar, and other dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion, Satya Kumar made significant remarks regarding the government’s vision and ongoing efforts in the state.

Satya Kumar urged students to achieve excellent results and contribute to the development of a “Golden Andhra Pradesh,” in line with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision.

“The government is striving to restore the past glory of public education, with Education Minister Nara Lokesh playing a key role. Andhra Pradesh is the first state to introduce a mid-day meal scheme for junior colleges, with the government allocating INR 90 crore for the program,” Satya Kumar stated.

Highlighting previous corruption allegations, he criticized the opposition, saying, “Despite market prices dropping, they (referring to the previous YSRCP government) kept egg prices high and engaged in corruption. They even stamped eggs and named welfare schemes after themselves. Did they ever spend anything from their own pockets? Now, have Chandrababu or Lokesh named schemes after themselves? No, because they are responsible leaders.”

Satya Kumar added, “Only parents, teachers, and deities are worthy of giving blessings. If anyone claims they are divine beings, keep them at a distance.” He emphasized the importance of skill development in youth and praised Lokesh’s dynamic leadership in fostering self-reliance through skill training.

Speaking about the new National Education Policy, Satya Kumar remarked, “The central government’s education policy will bring transformative changes in the future. Currently, we are knowledge practitioners, but we must evolve into knowledge producers. Soon, companies like Google and Apple will be established here.”

Additionally, Satya Kumar announced that the government is integrating health records of 3.4 million students into health cards under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) to prevent conditions like anemia among children.

Lokesh as a Role Model: MP Kesineni Chinni

Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni), who was present at the event, expressed appreciation for the launch of the mid-day meal program in middle-class and lower-middle-class localities.

He remarked, “The late NTR introduced mid-day meal schemes in schools, and today, his grandson Lokesh is extending it to intermediate students. It’s a moment of pride. Lokesh is bringing unprecedented reforms to the education sector. Students should learn humility from Lokesh, who, despite his achievements, remains grounded. He has traveled to places like Google and Tesla in the United States and is working towards creating 2 million jobs.”
