Siraj Strikes Twice in One Over, Puts Australia Under Pressure

Indian bowlers showcased a fiery performance in the ongoing fifth and final Test against Australia. After a disappointing batting display, the Indian team displayed their bowling prowess, putting Australia under pressure. Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah played a pivotal role in destabilizing the Australian batting lineup, causing them to lose wickets in quick succession.

Resuming their innings on Day 2 at an overnight score of 9/1, Australia added only six runs before losing Marnus Labuschagne (2). Bumrah struck early, dismissing Labuschagne, who edged the ball to wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. Shortly after, with only 20 more runs added to the total, Shaun Constas followed Labuschagne back to the pavilion.

Siraj provided the crucial breakthrough by dismissing Constas, who appeared to have settled at the crease after scoring 23 runs. Bowling the 11th over, Siraj induced a slip catch to Yashasvi Jaiswal, sending Constas back. Siraj maintained his aggressive form and struck again with the very last ball of the over, dismissing Travis Head. Head, who managed just 4 runs, was caught by KL Rahul, lifting the spirits of the Indian team. Australia found themselves in trouble at 66/4.

Earlier, India struggled in their first innings, managing only 185 runs. Rishabh Pant was the top scorer with 40 runs, followed by Ravindra Jadeja (26), Shubman Gill (20), and Bumrah (22). Among the Australian bowlers, Scott Boland stood out with four wickets, while Mitchell Starc claimed three, and Pat Cummins took two.
