Sydney Test: India All Out for 185 Runs as Batting Struggles Continue

As part of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) series, India's batting woes persisted in the fifth Test at Sydney. After opting to bat first upon winning the toss, Team India was bowled out for a modest total of 185 runs in 72.2 overs.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was the top scorer with a fighting 40 runs. Contributions from Ravindra Jadeja (26), Jasprit Bumrah (22), and Shubman Gill (20) provided some resistance. However, the top order struggled, with KL Rahul (4) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (10) departing cheaply. Virat Kohli managed only 17 runs, while Nitish Kumar Reddy failed to score, compounding India’s batting troubles.

Australia's bowlers showcased a disciplined performance, led by Scott Boland, who claimed four wickets. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins supported with three and two wickets, respectively, while Nathan Lyon chipped in with one wicket.

The early collapse and lack of significant partnerships put India on the back foot as they aim to stage a comeback in the match.
