ICC Test Rankings Released: Nitish Kumar Reddy Achieves Career-High Position

Indian cricketer Nitish Kumar Reddy, the young all-rounder from Andhra Pradesh, has made remarkable progress in the latest ICC Test rankings. Following his exceptional performance in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia, Reddy climbed 20 places to secure the 53rd position with 528 rating points. His debut series heroics have earned him a spot in the top 10 Indian batters in the rankings.

In the fourth Test match held at Melbourne, Reddy impressed everyone with a century, coming to bat at the eighth position when India was in a precarious situation. His outstanding innings drew widespread acclaim.
Decline in Rankings for Senior Indian Players

While Nitish Kumar Reddy and Yashasvi Jaiswal have gained ground, several senior Indian players saw their rankings plummet. Captain Rohit Sharma, who managed only 31 runs across five innings in the Australia series, dropped to 40th place. Virat Kohli slipped three places to 24th. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and others also witnessed a drop in their rankings.

Yashasvi Jaiswal remains the only Indian batter in the top 10, securing the 4th position after scoring over 80 runs in both innings of the Boxing Day Test.
