Kodali Nani’s Key Associate Kaali Remanded
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former minister Kodali Nani’s close associate, Merugumala Kaali, has been remanded by the Gudivada Additional Judicial First-Class Magistrate Court. Kaali is accused of orchestrating attacks on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office and its leader Ravi Venkateswara Rao in Gudivada.
According to the police, Kaali and his associates carried out an assault using petrol bombs on December 25, 2022, targeting the TDP office and Ravi Venkateswara Rao. The incident is being treated as a significant case, with Kaali identified as the primary instigator.
Thirteen YSRCP workers have already been remanded in connection with the case. Kaali, who was reportedly in Assam, was apprehended by police teams and brought to Gudivada. After a medical examination, he was presented before the court, which ordered his remand until January 10. Following the court's directives, Kaali was transferred to Nellore Central Jail.
