Ration Rice Misappropriation Case: Police Reissue Notices to Perni Nani’s Wife

Police have reissued notices to Perni Jayasudha, wife of former minister and senior YSR Congress Party leader Perni Nani, in connection with the alleged misappropriation of ration rice. The notices were issued as part of the ongoing investigation into the case, and she has been asked to appear at the R.Peta Police Station today (Wednesday) at 2 PM.

On Tuesday night, police visited Perni Nani’s residence to deliver the notice. However, finding no one at home, they affixed the notice to the door before leaving.

The case pertains to a godown built in Jayasudha’s name, where rice stocks allocated by the Civil Supplies Department under the Public Distribution System (PDS) allegedly went missing. Police registered a case in this matter, naming Jayasudha as Accused No. 1 (A-1). Although Jayasudha was granted anticipatory bail by the court, she was instructed to cooperate fully with the police investigation.
