Andhra Govt Uses Geo-Tagging for Pension Distribution Transparency
As of now, 83.45% of the beneficiaries have received their pensions. By 10 a.m., ₹2,256 crore had been disbursed to 53,22,406 beneficiaries. Officials are using geo-tagging technology to monitor and verify the distribution process, ensuring that pensions are delivered directly to the recipients' homes. This method helps track whether pensions are being handed over at the doorstep as intended.
The government’s aim of doorstep delivery is supported by geo-tagging, which enables officials to ensure transparency and accountability in the distribution process. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to participate in a pension distribution program later today in Yellamanda village, Palnadu district, as part of this initiative.
