How Elon Musk Responded to an Indian-Origin Woman's Plea
A request by Purnima Ramarao, the mother of Indian-origin tech professional Suchir Balaji, for an impartial investigation into her son’s suspicious death has drawn international attention. Purnima has urged the U.S. government to involve the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the case. Through a series of tweets, she appealed to prominent figures, including entrepreneur Elon Musk and politician Vivek Ramaswamy, seeking their support.
In her statements, Purnima claimed that her 26-year-old son, who was found dead under suspicious circumstances in his San Francisco apartment, did not die by suicide but was murdered in a planned manner. She pointed out that the post-mortem report was inconclusive regarding the cause of death and emphasized the need for a thorough inquiry to uncover the truth.
Suchir Balaji was a former employee of OpenAI, where he worked as a tech expert. According to his mother, he left the company after raising concerns about its alleged violations of copyright laws. She described him as a whistleblower who resigned due to ethical disagreements with the company’s practices. Tragically, he passed away on November 26 in his San Francisco flat.
Elon Musk responded to Purnima’s tweets by stating that the circumstances surrounding Suchir’s death and the condition of his body and apartment did not suggest suicide. Musk’s comments appeared to lend weight to Purnima’s suspicions about the nature of her son’s demise.
Purnima has reiterated her demand for a comprehensive investigation into her son’s death and called for accountability for those responsible.
