I Did Not Flee Anywhere: Perni Nani
Machilipatnam: Former minister and YSRCP leader Perni Nani has strongly denied allegations that he fled following recent controversies. Addressing the media in Tadepalli, he clarified that he had been in Machilipatnam from the 15th for three days. He explained that his absence from media appearances was based on the advice of his lawyers.
Perni Nani expressed frustration over the claims that rice sacks in his warehouse were missing. He stated that any shortages had been addressed with cash payments but alleged that cases were filed against him out of malice. “Before any facts have been established, I am already being branded a thief,” he remarked, voicing displeasure over social media speculations which, according to him, have overshadowed the actual police investigation.
He further claimed there is a plan to arrest him and his son by January 2, 2024. Referring to a bail petition judgment scheduled for December 30, he mentioned that he could not comment on all matters at this time. Perni Nani also alleged that he is being targeted more than his party leader, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
